When is it time to think about Roof Replacement?
Decisions about when and whether to replace your roof might be the biggest you'll make as a homeowner. Here's what to look for:

  • What's the age of your roof?
If you're not sure, or if you think it could be as old as 10 years, a free roof inspection is a good idea.
  • Are your gutters and downspouts clean?
Clogging could indicate a drainage problem. Sandy sediment can indicate your shingles are wearing thin.
  • Can you see any damage, mildew, or debris on your roof?
If you can see anything from the ground, its worth having a professional look more closely.
  • Do any trees overhang your roof?
Damage and clogging from falling debris and leaves is a major factor in roof wear and tear.
  • Are there any interior signs of water damage?
While ceiling and wall discoloration may indicate existing leakage, bubbling paint, rot or mildew can foretell more problems to come.
